June 21, 2008

today is the day, officially

...that summer begins for the northern half of us, they say

so here's my greetings to you from
delightfully green north east japan

where weeds grow wild, breaking down the empty houses...

hello yuko

i also wish you a splendid summer!

here in the "south-west" of switzerland the summer bagann with a big surprise - a 32 degree day plenty of sun after a long wet and rather chilly period.
we celebratet it with a yummy selfmade strawbeery ice-cream (very quick procedure: frozen berries, some vanilla sugar, silken tofu and a powerful hand-held blender - and then just enjoying)

my best wishes, eve

Hi Yuko, I found your blog. I love long days and short nights. There is something exciting about the days getting longer so equally I find it a little sad that Summer starts and the days will now start to shorten.
