Making of a silk dress with a wing painted on it.
With dye in color blue black.
Realistic feathers placed unrealistically.
A long story told as is.

detailed and in a groove?

i can get very detail-oriented
so much so that i could lose
my perspective easily as i'd
zoom zoom zoom in

and i fought
against it
for some time

because

i kn o w

pe r f e c t i n g

t h e c r a f t

co ul d

ki ll

t he

mom ent u m

here, the 2 drawings i did in 1994
and were given away

i remember i at one point
was drawing with a hair of a brush
the one hair sticking out at the tip

and even i thought it was too much

me-to-me critique:
the dog portrait, if it's me now, i'd
fill out the backgound with
one color-to simplify a bit

in 1994, i discovered paint brushes
didn't care to bother with them until then
so these are really the
portrait of my over-enthsiasm

as for being detail-oriented,
after trying to get over it by
overly being sloppy
and producing stuff that resembled
a pseudo children's drawing done by an adult

i gave up fighting
but decided to

keep
some
balance

to remain detailed but
in the groove, riding it

what was it the 10th anniversary of? i really like both of these. i don't think you're losing any momentum with the details here, but i can totally relate to your feelings above.
